God Has Heard Your Prayers and Seen Your Tears

Because you got a double dose of trouble and more than your share of contempt, Your inheritance in the land will be doubled and your joy go on forever. Isaiah 61:7

Today the Lord led me to Isaiah 61:7. As you read through that scripture take it into your spirit and understand it as a specific WORD from the Lord for you today.

So many of us live in shame and dishonor regarding things that happened before we surrendered all to Christ.

Now we are surrendered to God and trying to live each day for Him and yet we still live with a residue of pain and dishonor. Perhaps our finances, family relationships, or reputations suffered because of not being right with God at onetime in our lives. We know that God has forgiven us and yet the shame of these things follows us each day. If we are not careful we can dwell in the depression of looking back with regret. We can believe, in error, that we will forever be stuck with the results of disobedience.

Then we may have friends and family who don’t show us the same forgiveness that God does. The Word says in Psalm 103:12 the following;

“As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”

He forgives and forgets. You will not be punished your entire life time because of confessed sin that you repent from.

Now today I am coming, on behalf of the Lord, to tell you what He wants you to know. He has seen your tears, heard your prayers and you are entering a time of renewed honor and increased prosperity. If you go to verse 8 you will see that the Lord is not happy with the unjust treatment you are receiving. He is about to reward you for your suffering. Not just reward you but reward you with twice as much.

I believe those who have endured a period of grief over unjust situations are entering a time of recompense from the Lord. We are standing on the threshold of having our lives turned around for the better. When others see it they will know, without a doubt, you are a much loved and highly favored child of God.

Release the pain of the consequences of your past and enter into a period of renewed respect and promotion. God is releasing these things to you. Use them for building up others and blessing them, too, in the name of God. Let people know how good God is to you!

Definition of Recompense: make amends to (someone) for loss or harm suffered; compensate.
“offenders should recompense their victims”

Quit Comparing Yourself To Others

” Charm is deceitful and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD will be praised.” Proverbs 31:30

I used to constantly make myself miserable by comparing myself to others. We have to learn to celebrate who we are because we each have something wonderful about our unique being.

When I was young and living in California there was a woman named Marion, in our apartments, who every man drooled over and every woman hated. She had a perfect body, a gorgeous face and long, thick flowing hair.

I would compare myself to her and I always came up short. My body was far from perfect, my face was average and my hair was fine and thin.

But over the time we lived there God began to speak to me that instead of fretting over what I wasn’t I needed to concentrate on what I was. I have always had an outgoing, fun personality and people enjoy being around me. So I made myself the best “me” I could be and counted on my people skills to make sure I had plenty of friends.

Over the many, many, years now I have learned that a partner who frets more over your looks then theirs and constantly reminds you of your beauty faults is actually a very insecure person. They are the kind of person who needs their ego constantly stroked and having that perfect person by their side constantly gives their ego a boost. They want everyone in the room, when they walk in with you, to be jealous. It isn’t about you, it’s about them. That’s not love, that’s insecurity.

I am not telling you to let yourself go. I am telling you that true love accepts you as you are.

You are a one of a kind. God doesn’t make junk. He made you for a reason. Quit comparing yourself to others. Have you ever noticed that, nine times out of ten, truly beautiful people are not nice people?

Find what the one thing is that makes you special and work on perfecting it. That’s God’s gift to the world operating through you.

Seeing Ourselves As God Sees Us

The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life. Job 33:4

This year, more then any other I have had before, my constant prayer is that God will use me in mighty ways to make changes in other peoples lives. I have had people in my walk with the Lord that have made a mighty impact in my life. Some of them will never know what a mighty impact they have made. Words they have spoken into my life have floated back into my head just at the times I have needed those words. Things people have done for me, when I was down and out, have really stayed in my memory too. So I want to make an impact. Not for the world to know about but for that one person to think about somewhere down the road, as I have thought about others who sowed into my life.

I believe that when we bring our prayers to God and we ask Him to use us, we better be ready. He won’t do it in the way we expect Him too. That brings me to something that happened yesterday that I would love to share with you.

I live in El Prado, NM that is just outside of Taos, NM. I do my shopping in Taos. So yesterday, I had to go to the post office and then to the grocery store. Truthfully, I wasn’t dwelling on, or even thinking of, the prayer above. I was going about my errands and singing along to my Barry and Batya Segal CD in the car.

Now Taos is an interesting place for a Christian to live. If ever there was a place that needed the healing power of God this is the place. The majority of them do not want a personal relationship with God. This isn’t a place to talk love; it’s a place to walk love.

Things happen here that don’t happen anywhere else. There is a saying here, that I learned after the first year, “This is Taos,” whenever something odd, or bizarre happens it is overlooked because “This is Taos.”

So because “This is Taos,” I wasn’t surprised at all when a woman approached me as I was putting my groceries in the back of the car. It was early morning and cold and she was bundled up and so was I. She started to speak and it was so cold her breath could literally be seen flowing from her mouth. She approached me and opened a pouch, in the pouch was several pairs of beautiful earrings that she had made. She asked me if I would like to buy a pair of earrings. Sometimes I do because I have a couple of online businesses from which I sell jewelry. This time I had no extra money.

I have a habit of looking people squarely in the eyes. The Natives Americans are often very spiritual in their own way. She was sizing me up and noticing my intent gaze at her face.

She said as she pointed to a place beside her nose, “Do you see this on my face?” Then she said, “I was burned as a child.”

The truth is that until that very moment I hadn’t even noticed that. I replied truthfully, “ I hadn’t even noticed that. You have such a beautiful personality that is all I saw.”

She startled me then because she got tears in her eyes and replied, “That is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me!” She was young and very self-conscious. I said, “Well it’s the truth,” and she said softly, “Thank-you” and went on her way.

I got into my car and my heart was breaking for that young woman. God gave me discernment that the woman had been told for so long that she was unattractive that she believed it. She was sure that everyone who looked at her saw her facial imperfections. Truthfully, I did not. She was bright, bubbly and friendly. That is all I saw.

There are so many times when we feel that we have to be perfect looking. We are told that if we are not perfect in face and figure, we are “less then.” How many people have been bullied into thinking they are not attractive? How many of us have a feature that we don’t like and obsess on that, like that woman did?

In God’s eyes we are all beautiful! God had me experience looking at that woman and seeing only beauty. The same thing He see’s when He looks at you and me.

I said to God, “What just happened here God?” What was the meaning of this interaction?” It was so clear to me that God had made sure that I was simply a vessel He used to build up that woman’s self esteem. His words for her flowed out of me without me having to think of them. That’s how I knew it was a God thing.

God spoke to my heart. “You have had days in the past when you didn’t understand one thing or the other about yourself. You questioned me as to why you were born with this imperfection or the other. You, and all my children, were born exactly as you are to fit into my plan. Had you not had insecurities about your own looks you would not have had the compassion you did for the woman I sent across your path today! I have a purpose for everything I do. You were destined before you were born for this very moment in time. “

Tears filled my eyes. God is answering my prayer to bring hurting people across my path and I believe everyday He can bring them across your path also beloved. Every tear we have shed and every hurt we have endured and overcome has prepared us to be used for His glory and to give love, compassion and hope to those He sends to us!

You are His beautiful child, the apple of His eye. Every imperfection you think you see was put there for His glory. It is a reflection of Him, and starting right this minute you will never again think of yourself as anything but perfect!
