Surrendering To What Is

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

We run around to and fro when we have a serious problem. We wring our hands and we beg God to deliver us. We don’t know what we are going to do, and we are desperate for answers.

Maybe we call friends to pray with us, or maybe our pastor comes over to pray with us. In the end, God will either deliver us or He will not. Because He is God, and we are not, we learn to abide with His answers, no matter how doubtful it leaves our faith.

After experiencing several times, in my own life, where things went to heck in a hand basket I knew that I was missing something in my relationship with God.

In Philippians 4:10-12 we read the following;

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity. Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.

I begin to seek the Lord for wisdom regarding my lack of being content regardless of what happened. I wanted to experience peace in my life regardless of what is going on. As I began to speak that desire to God in prayer, my life seemed to go from bad to worse and it sometimes felt like God was so far away! I couldn’t see any difference between my life and the life of someone who was not a believer. Satan used this time to come to me and say, “There is no God. If there was a God you would not be suffering like this.”

Maybe you are there today, or maybe you have been there for a while. You may feel that God let you down and so you listen to Satan as he begins to play games with your mind.

This is a precarious time in the life of a Christian. As long as things are going well, and we are in a time of relative peace, we often believe God is blessing us. Let one thing, or a couple of them, go wrong and we begin to curse God and deny His existence.

I want you to know that this time in every Christian’s life is where “the rubber meets the road.” There you are at a crossroads, you can go back into your old life or you can surrender it all to God and go to another level of maturity.

Surrender goes against our own will. We are bombarded daily by little slogans telling us, “You are strong, and invincible and you can do anything.”

I began to wonder what total surrender would feel like. I sat down in my prayer chair and began to talk to God. I said, “God, I can’t handle this anymore. I have tried everything I know to do and nothing is working and so I give up. I refuse to think about this or interfere with this, and basically I am taking my hands off of it and letting it go. If I fail completely I will take this as your will, and I will accept it cheerfully and peacefully.”

I pictured in my mind each one of my problems. I put them in a box, one by one and then I pictured myself walking towards Jesus. We were on a beautiful peaceful beach as I took my box and placed it, metaphorically, at His feet. I said to Him, “It’s hard for me to surrender, but I trust you enough to do it. Here they are, take them all. I will let you handle this.”

Immediately I felt my spirit get lighter. I felt the weight of those problems fall off of my shoulders. In the next few days Satan would play with my mind. I would have thoughts of “Maybe I should do this, or that?” Then I would hear the voice of God speaking, “Be still and KNOW that I AM GOD.” Then I would repent of trying to take things back, and I would give them back to Him.

Miracles began to happen. One after the other, seemingly out of the blue, God would bring events and people together and I begin to have a deeper faith in Him then I had ever had. I knew that these things had come together by Him, and Him alone, opening doors in front of me. In the past I was great at manipulating things to go my way, and then when they all fell apart I would blame God. Now I knew that God was a force in my life working for my good.

Many years have past and other situations have arisen. I simply practice letting go again, and my peace returns in the middle of horrific situations as much as it does in good ones.

The key to living drama free is to first consult with God, before making any move into a new situation, or getting out of an old one. Ask for His help, and trust Him to give it to you. It’s when we rush into things with our own will, without trusting Him that we often get into bad bad situations.

There have been days when things have hurt me to the point I literally felt my very heart was breaking into pieces. I have survived these things by totally surrendering them to Him. I know Him well by now, I know He loves me and I trust that He will turn even the worst of situations around and I will find blessings in them.

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

All you need to do is surrender. If you can surrender outcomes and desires to Him He will walk you into the valley of peace!

Speak About The Word And Not The Problem

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32

Once you have known real fellowship with God nothing else will satisfy you. Knowing this, and looking back on my life now, I understand that once we become on fire for God we become a prime target of the evil one.

When I came to know Jesus as my personal savior, I was immediately set on fire to tell others about him. I started to facilitate bible studies in my home, and many people came to know the Lord, and most of them that wanted it, were baptized in the Holy Spirit. I didn’t teach these bible studies, God always sent me someone to do that in the three different neighborhoods that we would live in during the time.

I was so unaware of the ways of Satan, I was not grounded in the Word and I began to be led astray. I was young and had been raised by controlling parents and I wanted to taste the things of the world. I was so double minded at that time, it was incredible.

God will give you “gifts” in the Spirit and those gifts are yours for life. When you get into sin, you will still have those gifts but you might begin to use them in ways that are not pleasing to God. That’s what happened in my own life.

If you look at the life of David, in the bible Old Testament, you will notice that David was God’s man, and highly anointed. Yet, David got into the flesh with Bathsheba. Then David repented and God began to use him again. Yet, David went through a time of reaping what he had sown with Bathsheba, and repenting as he begin to see God’s hand of judgment on his life.

If you have been called and set apart by God you too may be going through some real struggles at this time. You don’t understand it and the very point of Satan bringing these things on your life is to get you so tired and weary that you give up on God and go into some of the things the world has to offer.

As you go back into these things, you will find that they destroy your life in different, and harder, ways then ever before. I believe that God uses these things to get us to the point that we are sick and tired of our dysfunction and run quickly back to Him.

I began to use my gift for money. I begin to do tarot readings in my home. At one time I was considered, by a local paper in Albuquerque, NM, as one of the top ten psychics in the state. During this time of abusing my gift from God, and not using it for His purposes, my life was in total downfall. I went from one dysfunctional relationship to another and I experimented with recreational drug use, and I drank heavily.

Each situation was worse then the last. My life was unraveling right before me. Like David, who fell into sin with Bathsheba, I begin to see the mighty hand of God on my life trying to guide me back to the truth.

I often see that when we are in rebellion we are not ready to give up some things, and so we try to take God with us into those things. God never leaves us, but at a point he may become heavy handed, like any other parent, to guide us back into intimacy with Him.

At one point my life was so out of control, that I fell on my knees and looked up to heaven and yelled, “HELP!” and He did. I began to slowly come back to God. My depression was supernaturally healed. I met and married a Christian man, but our marriage was rocky for the first three years while God was healing us both from situations in our pass that made us not able to trust. Both of us would imagine the other was doing things that our exes had done. Finally, through another miracle, the Lord healed us from that.

We began to get mentally healthy and a sense of the peace of God was surrounding us as we began to minister to others, working in our gifts.

When Satan saw that he could no longer mess with our minds, because they were staid on God and His truths, the physical attacks began.

The difference is that during all of these things we have been able to notice the 3 main strategies that Satan uses to try and discourage God’s kids. We also have developed strategies to overcome those attacks.

If you are going through any attack at this time, do not speak of it out loud. Continue to praise God as if everything in your life was wonderful, because in the Kingdom of Heaven, it is wonderful. Satan is like any other bully, when he doesn’t see you crying, and wringing your hands because of the turmoil he has created, He will leave you alone. He feeds upon our troubles and our reactions to those troubles.

To really get Him to leave, you can start praising Him for what you do have, even if it’s only a piece of bread. The Word tells us “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabits the praises of Israel.” Psalm 22:3

In closing I would like to say that as long as you dwell in self-pity, depression and stay attached to your “crutches” (drugs, alcohol, sexual addiction, ect.) Nothing will get better. You have to understand that Satan wants to destroy you, and your life. Then you become a warrior for Christ. You then begin to stand up and fight with all the weapons God has given you.

Quote the Word, not the problem. Give gratitude for what you do have. These are two ways to get rid of Satan, and overcome problems. Know that what you are going through is not anything new. Satan uses the same things over and over against God’s kids because they are so effective. It’s time to FIGHT. Get up warrior of God and start giving the devil a black eye!!

Free Will And Blaming Others For Our Troubles

Oh, that you had listened to my laws! Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river, and great waves of righteousness. Isaiah 48:18

I have been on my journey with the Lord since 1976. I was so often rebellious during those early years. Truth be known I am still a bit of a rebel, but life has taught me to never stray very far from my heavenly Father, when I do so it almost always turns out bad!

For years I was so good at blaming whomever I could for my mistakes. I would often think, “If it wasn’t for so and so I wouldn’t have gone down that wrong path!”

As I found myself repeating patterns in situations, that turned out badly, I begin to pray for answers. Be careful when you pray for answers, because when you really want change God will be blunt in showing you truths. Like a loving parent He stands back, lets us make our own mistakes and then when we have had enough, and run to Him, He gently gathers us in His arms and guides us to truth.

The truth is that most of the messes we get into cannot be blamed on other people. We have free will. People can suggest things, but in the end if we go along with something that we know is not the will of God, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

To a great extent we create our own future, good or bad. God gives us free will because He doesn’t want robots. He wants men and women who desire to do things His way, because they love Him so much they want to please Him. During those weak moments when we know the way God probably wants us to go, and then we rebel and go the opposite way, God picks us up and restores us, like any loving parent.

When we are walking with God I believe we get little “holy spirit” nudges. We may know that we shouldn’t do something because we are playing with fire, then the Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts, “Oh, everyone else is doing it, God won’t mind.” Those thoughts are not original. In the Garden of Eden Adam and Eve had it all. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings and everything they wanted and needed. They had one rule to just not eat of the fruit of that one tree. Wouldn’t you know it that Eve’s curiosity got the best of her, and at a weak moment Satan whispered to her, “God won’t mind, go ahead and taste the apple!” So Eve tasted that apple even though God had specifically told them not to do so, and then she got Adam to taste the apple. Some people say, “Eve caused Adam to sin,” to that I say bologna. He had received the same Word from the Lord that Eve had. He could of said, “No, Eve God told us not to do that!” Instead of doing the right thing, he made a conscious decision from his own free will to eat the apple also.

God allows people to exercise their free will, but at a point He says, “Enough!” and then it’s all over for the sinner. God is long suffering. If you remember God sent Jonah to Nineveh to warn the people that His patient was wearing thin with them. He told Jonah to basically tell the people to come back to God. Jonah couldn’t take much more of the sin he saw going on within Nineveh and he thought God should strike them all dead. So Jonah runs from the Lord, and that ends up badly when he finds himself in the belly of a whale. He finally consents to doing things God’s way and he is spit out on the shores of Nineveh and proceed to tell the people what God wants him to tell them. Much to Jonah’s surprise the people turned around and came back to God.

God is in total control of our lives, but sometimes He leaves us in the belly of the whale until we ourselves decide to do it His way.

There are two paths in life, one leads to spiritual death and the other leads to spiritual life. Our daily choices determine which path we are walking on. It’s not anyone else’s fault. It’s all about our choices.

Holy Spirit Whispers For Spring And Summer 2015

“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” Acts 2:17

Recently I was looking at a picture of a frozen wave. I found it fascinating and as I was staring at it the Spirit of the Lord came over me and spoke the following words to my spirit:

“The frozen wave represents what is happening in the lives of many of my people. The problems that they are enduring are washing up all around them, and they are growing weary of praying each day and they are wondering where I am. They are hanging on by a thread. They see me, they know me, but the blessings they need are being frozen at this minute and they don’t know how much longer they can endure.

This month, as spring comes, my people are going to have a deluge of blessings as things begin to heat up and the frozen wave suddenly begins to melt. It will start slowly and then in an instant, fresh blessings will begin to flow.

Some still have situations that they have considered as “bones with no flesh” upon them. These people will look and be amazed at the see the dry bones situations come alive.

Some believe that they are without hope. They need a miracle to get to where they feel I have called them. They think, “Without a miracle, this dream will not come to past. I am stuck!” In the next few months I am moving people to where they need to be in the natural as things in the world began to heat up. I have delayed things in order to prepare hearts to be where they need to be for ME. I often hold back my blessings, as with the frozen wave, you can see them, and you can almost taste them and yet conditions are not melting and moving forward. During those times, I am testing hearts. Will these beloved children of mine stay close to me even if I without blessings for a while? Some stay true and even have said in their hearts, “Yet though he slay me, still will I praise Him.” Others have waxed cold and say, “There is no God. He is not answering me. I refuse to pray, I am giving up!”

I reward the faith of those who have the least, and yet still praise my name! The days ahead will not be easy and I have tested my troops to see who is strong enough to not only withstand the storm, but also prosper in the midst of it.

Already you are noticing extreme persecution. Right is wrong, and wrong is right. If you speak up you are called, “Stupid, and ignorant!” These times are only for the strong, those who care more for me, then themselves. These times are for those who are willing to lay down their desire for their toys, and their will and to crucify those things on the cross, to be my beloved and well-cared for child! As they lay these things down My heart is touched and I will give them double back for those things they let go of in My name.

Prepare yourself to see fires, and more fires. The stench of smoke will hang over the land. In an instant things will change for many people this spring and summer. Prepare a bag with things inside that you will need if you must leave your home expectantly.

Burnt lands will flood, and more natural disasters are ahead. When you see these things remember that I am in control, and those who have MY name will prosper in these things, as supernaturally I provide people and the things that they need easily and without effort.

As the wave thaws, blessings will be washed upon my people but these things cannot be hoarded they must be given to help others too. I provide for people who provide for others. Give with an open hand, and I will open my hands to you. The more you give, the more you will have to give. When you see someone in need, if you can meet the need, do not keep from doing so!

Expect the unexpected this spring and summer. But never forget hat I AM in control. Nothing, no earth change, takes me by surprise. With my Word and Breath I set the World into being, and I do not change!

In the moment you think not, it shall happen. In the way you think not, it shall be. And in the way you think it should be…it shall not. Look closely at the picture of the life you desire and then see you stepping into it. Smell the scents of the earth, feel the wind upon your face at that place. Allow yourself to take My Hand and walk you through it. All things are possible to those who believe. Step in my picture until you are living it.”

I love you!

Given through His Spirit in His unconditional love,

Quit Pushing On Closed Doors

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Thessalonians 5:16-19

When we understand who we are in the Kingdom of God, then all things become more peaceful. We can rest that our lives are going exactly as God has planned and nothing could be more perfect then God’s will for our life.

We determine that we want something to go a certain way, or we decide we have to have this or the other, and if it isn’t happening we drive ourselves crazy trying to force the issue.

It’s especially true when we are absolutely sure that we are in love with someone and that we must have that certain someone to make ourselves happy.

It took me way too long to understand that if someone leaves your life then he or she is not supposed to be in it for the long run. You can scheme and manipulate and come up with all kinds of reason to get that person back in your life and maybe they will reach a low moment and maybe they will come running back to you. Then they will eventually leave again, because they were not to be in your life for the perfect plan God has for you to materialize.

The same could be said for a home, or a car, anything that you really want badly enough to take to God in prayer. I have experienced the house situation a couple of times. In one case it was the first home I had ever owned and I was sick of renting and I wanted to be free of a landlord. I went over to the house and I walked around that house praying and claimed it to be mine. In that case, God intended that to be included in the plan of my life and not only did He give us that house, we made over 10,000 on it in less then a year when we were transferred to a new area and had to move and sell that home. When God is in your plans everything prospers and goes well.

When you want something that is not in God’s plan He will often give it to you evidentially but it will involve some heavy duty lessons of learning, when doors start to shut and problems arise, God who knows best is trying to save His child from heartache.

I have learned through the years to trust my God given discernment. I wanted a certain job, not just wanted it but also needed it because I had been living on unemployment for almost a year. I finally got a call, after pushing the matter by faxing numerous resumes and calling to check on the status of the resumes. On the day of the job interview I went into the building and checked in at the receptionist desk. The interviewer and I got along great, and things were going well. I felt sure that she was going to offer me that job. She took me on a walk to the floor I would be working on. The minute we got off the elevator I felt a cold chill go down my back. God said, “Look, at their faces!” I looked around and no one was smiling. No one looked happy to be there at all. I also noticed a couple of them give the manager, doing the interview, dirty looks behind her back. Something was wrong there, and I sensed it. By the afternoon, of the same day, the manager called back and offered me the job. I turned it down. My family and friends thought I had lost my mind for turning the job down. I held my ground and told them I felt God had warned me against it. Those who didn’t know God shook their heads and looked at me as if I was crazy. Two weeks later I got a call for another job. The interview went well, again I was taken to the unit I would be working in, and the folks there looked like they were having a wonderful day, and enjoying their jobs. I was offered that job, took it and it turned out to pay more then the other job and it was one of the nicest places to work! I actually looked forward to going to work each day!

My point is that once we understand how much God loves us, we can then walk away from any experience triumphantly. If the door shuts, we don’t try and push it open. We let go and we let God direct our paths.

“Our steps are made firm by the Lord, when he delights in our way” Psalm 37:23

Many times I get email from folks that want me to pray for someone who left him or her to come back to him or her. I understand that, and I don’t judge it because I spent years picking out bad relationships and then went they went bad chasing the person, going to fortune tellers trying to find one that would tell me the person would come back, asking for prayers to that end, and driving my friends nuts with my manipulation of circumstances.

When I totally surrendered all to God he spoke to me one day and said the following regarding those “fortune tellers” “You don’t need to know the future, Cathie, God spoke to my heart, you only need to surrender all to ME because whatever happens in the future I will be there and I will guide you through it!”

Stress and anxiety is often a result of not trusting in our higher power and reasoning that we have to handle it all ourselves. If you find yourself going into panic attacks, and don’t understand why, it’s usually because you are fighting the inner voice of God that is trying to get you to go in another direction. Sometimes we don’t trust that voice and we push it down and it comes back up as anxiety.

Real peace comes when we lay it all, all our wants and wishes, at the foot of the cross. God loves us like we love our own children, and not one of us wishes misery on our own flesh and blood. God wants only the best for His children. So we need to release everything to Him and trust Him to keep people and things away from our lives that are not good for our lives!

In His Never Ending Love,

Holy Spirit Discernment Purim 2015

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14

In my humble opinion never has a Purim day had so many similarities to the book of Esther as the one this year.

There is a lot of oppression in the world today of both Christians and Jews. ISIS is killing Christians at a level that has not been seen before in this century. The only other time close to this was the Holocaust. When that began history tells us that people turned a blind eye to what was going on, just as many do today. The very idea that a situation such as the Holocaust could be repeated seems a bizarre thought, but God has given us a blueprint and what is going to happen in the “last days” is there, in the bible, and can be read and researched by anyone who cares to do so.

A lot of people reading this right now are people that have been chosen by God for a time such as the one they are currently living in. Many have been through heartbreak and hardships in the last few years that made no sense in the natural. These things have only served to make us stronger, with a tougher shell, ready to show compassion to and help others in a time such as this.

A Southern Belle mother who told me that ladies do not discuss politics or religion raised me. However, God has used the things of my life to prepare me to do that very thing. I loved my mother, but I sit at the feet of God, as His Handmaiden to do his bidding regardless of what other people think.

The scripture at the beginning of my message is the one that we most often quote on Purim. But the sentence before it, in Esther 4:14, caught my eye today. It says the following: Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, “Do not imagine that you in the kings palace can escape any more then all the Jews.”

People today support a dictator in America because he has convinced them that he is for them. Yet he supports, with his chief advisor, Iran. He does little of nothing to constrain ISIS. He is an ideologue that isn’t fond of America. Yet, his supporters go forward without saying a word, in blind obedience.

I have a child who is a lesbian. God has taught us to love others regardless of their lifestyles. The same way God loves you and me, unconditionally. However, I recently told her that I am fearful that ISIS will take over this country. Have you seen the way they torture and brutally kill homosexuals? Yet, most of these people do not speak up against the “Haman” of our time. Just as Esther 4:14 says, “Do not imagine that you can escape.”

The time to speak up is now. If you are one chosen to do so, you are feeling a stirring inside of you. I saw yesterday’s speech before congress by Netanyahu as a parallel to the book of Esther. I do not think it was a mistake that the speech was made the day before Purim.

It takes maturity to be one that speaks up and warns people. You must be at a point in your relationship with God that you place that relationship at the top of your life. You must have a “hard” shell to criticism, you can’t care about those who disagree with you, and you must simply care for them so dearly that you tell them the truth, regardless of the cost. Sometimes, you may have to walk alone in your journey. If that thought bothers you, you aren’t ready to fight today’s demonic activity.

In the book of Esther we read that  Esther was put through months and months of preparation before she went into the presence of a Gentile king. So your hard times have been preparing you. You must tell the truth, not in a bullying “know it all” way, but in a way that shows love and support, as Jesus did while he ministered on the earth.

We are at a never before time of seeing Christians and Jews persecuted. It’s time that God is saying to those who understand, “prepare your self and boldly tell people the truth, so that they too can escape the terror that is coming!”

For those that don’t know “The festival of Purim is celebrated every year on the 14th of the Hebrew month of Adar (late winter/early spring). It commemorates the salvation of the Jewish people in ancient Persia from Haman’s plot “to destroy, kill and annihilate all the Jews, young and old, infants and women, in a single day.”

Read the book of Esther, and see how much it reminds you of the times we are living in today. Arise now; those of you who know you are called as Esther was! God sounded his trumpet yesterday for those who have ears to hear, and eyes to see! It is time for His army, of all denominations, to come forth and not be afraid to speak boldly, and with love, against what is happening in this country!!  What a blessing that we were called for a time such as this!

In His Never-Ending Love,

The Power Of Your Words

And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:22-24

Have you ever wondered why everything some folk’s touch seems to turn to gold, even in the midst of a recession? Could there be some universal secret to living a prosperous and healthy life?

The answer, most assuredly is yes! The bible is a blueprint to prosperous living and once you learn the secrets to abounding in good, it changes your life and the lives of those around you forever.

We fail because of the words we speak and if you follow the blueprint given in this article your life can change for the better in thirty days.

I challenge you to go to the first book in the bible, the book of Genesis in the Old Testament, and prayerfully read the instructions for success.

In Genesis 1:2 we read the following “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Then read in the next verse where God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

God had an idea. He wanted to create the earth. He then formed that idea into words, which he spoke and then it was done.

This is the blueprint for inspired ideas. You must have a goal that lines up with God’s will. You then speak it into being and it happens.

Can it be that simple, you ask? What it involves is changing the dialogue you have with yourself and with others.

Words are everything. Jesus knew that and that is why He said, “If you have enough faith, you can say to this mountain move into the sea and it will have to move.” Jesus was speaking metaphorically about the mountains of debt, illness, poverty, and lack of any kind. You don’t have to accept these things. Faith expressed positively moves all kinds of mountains looming before us.

A negative person sounds something like this, “I am never going to amount to a thing, nothing good ever happens to me, nothing is ever going to change” Change that talk around for the next thirty days and it will change your life forever.

The first thing you need to do is start to take notice of the negative things that are coming out of your mouth each day and make a strong effort to stop them. Once you are aware of negative statements you can change them. One sure fire method of changing negativity is the rubber band method. Take a rubber band and put it around your wrist. Every time you catch yourself saying something negative snap the rubber band. You will start to equate negativity with pain and soon you will avoid the negative statements coming out of your mouth like a plaque.

Take out a piece of paper, get your bible and start to write a list of scriptures that speak to your situation. Things like “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” “No weapon formed against me shall prosper” “The crown of the wise is their riches” and this one “If you being evil know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask Him?”

Pick scriptures that are dear to you and read those scriptures daily until you can say them by memory. When worry and doubt about your success starts to come into your mind stop the thought and replace it with one of those scriptures.

The world looks at situations in the natural and says, “That’s impossible”. We Christians walk in the realms of the supernatural. We are told in the bible, the Christians’ book of instructions, “For with God, ALL things are possible”

So many times we look at a situation and think it is finished and we might as well forget it. God teaches us differently. The Israelites left Egypt in search of the Promised Land. Things were going well until they were rerouted by God to the Red Sea. Maybe that’s where you are. You had one idea of how things were going to happen, but God has given you a detour. It doesn’t mean for you to give up, just be open to your hearts desires being accomplished in a different way.

God is able to part the Red Sea of our difficulties and let us walk through on dry land when we speak faith into the situation.

Tell the Lord “God I don’t care what it looks like in the natural I believe that you are able to accomplish what looks like the impossible to me!” You step out in supernatural faith, you speak to the mountain and it moves!

Words that we speak, good and bad, determine our future. Have you ever noticed that successful people are positive people? There is never a doubt in their minds that they are going to be successful.

In the midst of hard times people can still succeed. The attitude we hold towards things determines their outcome.

Have you ever noticed that Jesus, our example, never spoke in negative terms? Why was that? Because Jesus knew it was the will of the Father to take care of His children. God delights in giving us the desires of our hearts, as long as they are in line with His Word. No good thing will the Father withhold from us.

When we take a step forward in faith, God meets us there and directs our paths. We will see doors of difficulty in our lives miraculously open and we can then walk through them victoriously.

Abraham and Sarah had faith and God rewarded them in their old age with a son. David had faith and took a little slingshot and killed a giant! The bible tells us that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. God has not lost the ability to do miracles; we have lost the ability to believe in them.

We need to rebuild our concept of God. How can we do that? Read the instruction manual, the bible! Get to know the nature of God. Become intimately acquainted with Him. You become intimate with someone by spending quality time alone with him or her. It works the same way with God. When you spend time in the Word, in prayer and worshipping Him, you learn His nature. You learn to trust Him, to trust His word and rely on His good nature.

God is in the people business and people matter to Him. Once you get that deep down in your spirit you CAN speak to mountains of difficulty and watch them disappear before you.

Perhaps you are thinking, “You don’t know the mess my life is in, nothing could make this better.” The bigger the mess the more HE can bless. God delights in impossible situations. Some of the best testimonies to His greatness are not from our mouths but from our lives. When folks see what God can do in our lives, it blesses them also and gives them faith for their own messes.

Spend some time developing the picture of God in your mind as the miracle working God he is. Read the miracles in the bible! Read how the saints of old had faith, spoke in faith and God came through for them with miracle after miracle.

Don’t allow negative words to come out of your mouth. Surround yourself with people with positive attitudes. Leave the rut of negativity behind you. People are attracted to folks who walk and talk in faith.

If you are seeing yourself as a failure then rebuild the picture in your mind. You are only limited by your thoughts of your situation. Read the bible and learn who you are and whose you are. See yourself as the child of a KING, because that’s who you are! You are the child of the King of the Universe. The Kings kids enjoy the treatment of the royalty they are. Remember that the next time you walk into a room feeling less then confident. Hold your head up high and walk in like the royalty you are.

The only thing limiting your possibilities is your bad attitude. Change your attitude and in thirty days you can change your world for the better!

In His Unconditional Love,
