“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5
There are times in all of our lives when we desperately need a miracle from God. Some of you are there today. A miracle is a supernatural intervention of God in a crisis situation.
If you are in a place of desperation I want you to stop right now and think back on another time in your life when you felt desperate.
Was there another time when you just knew that you were not going to make it, but at the last minute you got your miracle? Satan wanted you to think it was all over for you and that you would be destroyed on many levels. But you were not. I know that because you are still here. God gave you a miracle then and God is going to give you one now! You need to tell the devil, the one who is planting failure thoughts in your mind, to get out of your house! Then lift your hands and start praising because God did not let you down in the past and He is not about to let you down now, Beloved of the Lord.
Several years ago as I was drinking my morning coffee, and watching the morning news, I heard a story about a couple who was facing foreclosure. It seems as if there was nothing left to do to save their home, with no jobs and their savings all gone, they were facing the inevitable.
They were packing their older home to move. They went down to the basement to throw things away and pack what they wanted to take. In a corner, in a box, they found some old comic books. They found what turned out to be an original Superman comic book. They looked it up online and found an auctioneers website that showed similar ones selling for over a million dollars. They called the auctioneer who came to look at the comic book and sure enough they had received a miracle, at the last minute. The auctioneer believed that the original comic book would fetch between 400,000.00 and a million dollars!
I have been praying about what seems to be a feeling of apathy in the people of God right now. It’s a heaviness of spirit that is very discouraging. Some of us feel like God has forgotten us and no matter how we pray nothing seems to be moving in our difficult situations.
When I learned the secret of “letting go” I moved into another whole dimension of miracles and faith! By letting go I mean that I told God that no matter what happened I intended to trust in Him. If a situation doesn’t move as I think it should and when I think it should I simply trust God enough to know that He has a very good reason for the delay. He only wants the best for His children, and so I determine that He is Holy and His ways are perfect so I rest in that knowledge.
It isn’t easy sometimes because we are in these suits of flesh and the flesh wants to worry. When we are willing to let go and know in our heart of hearts that He will take care of us we can start to live stress free. Anxiety is always because of the fact that we are afraid of the unknown. When we remember that God holds all of our days the unknown doesn’t matter.
